Coffee Varieties & Regions
Robusta coffee is mainly grown in the northwestern regions of Tanzania, particularly in Kagera near Lake Victoria. Altitude grown at 1000–1,300 meters above sea level. Well-drained and fertile, with good organic matter.
Full-bodied, dark chocolate,cocoa,nutty,spicy,slight fruity hints.
Washed Arabica coffee is mainly grown in Southern Highlands and Northern Tanzania. Altitude
1,300–2,000 meters above sea level. Often citrusy, floral and fruity notes – Berries, stone fruits, wine-like hints.
